Essential, Standard, Daily Driver, or Premier: Which PPF Package Fits Your Vehicle?
Every mile on West Michigan roads puts your paint in the path of gravel, sand, and road debris. Most of it hits the front of your vehicle first. Over time, those small chips add up and make a well-kept vehicle look older than it is.
Paint protection film is built to stop that damage before it reaches your paint. At Premier Auto Styling, we offer four Norton Shores PPF packages: Essential, Standard, Daily Driver, and Premier. Each one covers a different amount of your vehicle. Below, we break down what each package includes, how long installation takes, and how to choose the right fit for the way you drive.
What Is PPF for Cars?
Paint protection film, or PPF, is a clear, flexible film applied over your vehicle's painted surfaces. It sits between your clear coat and the road. When a rock or piece of debris strikes your vehicle, the film absorbs the hit instead of your paint.
Quality PPF film also gives you:
- Self-healing protection. Minor scratches and swirl marks disappear with exposure to heat.
- UV protection. The film keeps UV rays from reaching your paint, which helps preserve its color and shine.
- Nearly invisible coverage. Once installed, the film is virtually undetectable and keeps your vehicle's original look.
Why We Install Autobahn PPF
As an authorized Autobahn installer, we use Autobahn Incognito PPF. Incognito is a paint protection film infused with a hydrophobic coating. Water beads up and rolls off, so washing is easier and water spots are less likely to form. It also has a glass-like gloss and is made to stay clear for years.
Incognito is backed by Autobahn's lifetime No Fault warranty. It is a one-time claim that covers product defects or accidental damage, such as scraping a curb. It provides up to $250 in retail value toward replacing the damaged film.
Our team measures, cuts, and fits the film to your vehicle's exact dimensions so it follows the shape of each panel. We are an IDA (International Detailing Association) certified shop, we hold an Optical Defense PPF certification, and we have served Norton Shores and West Michigan drivers since 2018. You can learn more on our About Autobahn PPF page.
Our Four PPF Packages Compared
The biggest difference between our packages is how much of your vehicle gets covered. We customize each package to your specific vehicle, so everyone is quoted individually.
Essential Package
Turnaround: 1 day
Coverage: front bumper, partial hood, partial front fenders
The Essential Package protects the high-impact areas at the very front of your vehicle. It is a good fit if you want core front-end protection with the shortest time away from your vehicle.
Standard Package
Turnaround: 2 days
Coverage: front bumper, full hood, mirrors, full front fenders, headlights, fog lights
Standard covers the full hood and full front fenders, so the film runs across each panel instead of stopping partway. It also protects your mirrors, headlights, and fog lights. This package suits drivers who want the whole front end covered, especially on newer vehicles or regular highway drives along US-31.
Daily Driver Package
Coverage: everything in standard, plus rocker panels, partial A-pillar, and front of roof
Rocker panels are the lower body panels between your front and rear wheels. They catch gravel, sand, and grit thrown up by your tires, which is common on Michigan roads in winter. The partial A-pillar and front of the roof cover the edges around your windshield. This package works well for vehicles that rack up miles year-round.
Premier Package
Turnaround: 5 days
Coverage: front and rear bumpers, full hood, mirrors, full front and rear fenders, rocker panels, all doors, trunk, roof, headlights, fog lights, tail lights
Premier is our full-vehicle package. It protects your vehicle from the front bumper to the rear bumper, including every door, the roof, and the trunk. It is the right choice for luxury and sports cars, new vehicles you plan to keep for years, or anyone who also wants protection from scrapes and scratches in parking lots.
How Long Does It Take to PPF a Car?
Installation time depends on how much coverage you choose. Here are our turnaround times:
- Essential Package: 1 day
- Standard Package: 2 days
- Daily Driver Package: confirmed with your quote
- Premier Package: 5 days
Each panel is measured, cut, and fitted to your vehicle, and that kind of precision takes time. To keep your schedule on track, we offer a complimentary loaner car for qualifying PPF appointments. Just ask when you book. We will confirm availability, and you can drop off your vehicle, grab the loaner keys, and go about your day.
How to Choose the Right PPF Package
If you are not sure where to start, these questions can help:
- How do you drive? Short trips around town may only call for Essential or Standard. Daily highway miles make a stronger case for Standard or Daily Driver.
- How long will you keep the vehicle? If you plan to keep it for years, more coverage protects more of the finish for longer.
- How much downtime works for you? Essential has a 1-day turnaround, while Premier takes 5 days. Our loaner car helps with longer appointments.
- Do you want a different finish? Along with our standard packages, we offer matte paint protection film and color change paint protection film.
Still not sure? Our team will talk through your vehicle and driving habits with you and help you pick the package that fits.
Common PPF Questions
How long does PPF last?
Our PPF products typically provide 5 to 10 years of protection. The exact lifespan depends on environmental factors and how well the film is maintained.
Will PPF damage my paint?
No. When professionally installed, PPF protects your paint. The adhesive holds firmly in place but can be removed later without leaving residue or damaging the finish.
Can PPF go on any vehicle?
Yes. We can apply paint protection film to virtually any make and model, including sedans, SUVs, trucks, and sports cars.
